Fuckyeahlost.com interviews Mr. Paul Scheer!
First of all, introduce yourself! Who are you, what do you do, and where can we find you on the interweb?
Hi! My name is Paul Scheer. You might know me from MTV’s Human Giant or FX’s THE LEAGUE. I’ve also been on 30 Rock, Parks and Rec, Yo Gabba Gabba and Best Week Ever.
I have a twitter @paulscheer and a website paulscheer.com.
I’m commonly know as the inventor of the Twinkie.
Now, let’s talk about LOST! How did you get into the show? Did it click right away, and if not what was it that made that click happen?
I’ve been in from the beginning. I was a big JJ fan from Alias so that originally roped me in and then I remember seeing these MISSING posters all over NYC each highlighting a character from the show and I was intrigued. I loved it from Day 1.
We all watched you at the Comic-Con LOST panel, how did that (and the whole DamonCarltonandaPolarBear site/art series) come about? How was the experience as a whole?
Damon and I had met a year earlier at Comic Con. He liked Human Giant and I liked Lost, so we kinda connected on the mutual admiration thing. The following year I got a call that Damon wanted me to do a bit in the comic con panel. They teamed me up with Jensen Karp who owns Gallery 1988. He masterminded this amazing LOST ART PROJECT and we collaborated on my involvement with it.
It was an awesome experience to work so closely with a show that I’m a huge fan of and I also made some really nice friends in the process.
They also let me push the donkey wheel and I sent a writer’s assistant to Tunisia.

i actually didn’t start watching til season 2, then i had heard enough good things about it to make me watch season 1, which i watched over a weekend and really enjoyed.
How did you get in touch with Darlton for the art project? What information did they give you to make the poster?
they contacted me, jensen of gallery1988 contacted me i should say, he was my main contact, i never talked directly to anyone else. and information, they just said they wanted a poster that kinda summed up the show, while focusing on the first and second season.
Were you shocked by anything they told you to include in your poster?
of making the poster? probably when they were like ‘add Daniel Faraday’ and i was like ‘what??! he’s from the fourth season, wtf.’ but then i added him.

Fuckyeahlost.com interviews Justin from damoncarltonandme.com!
Earlier this month we told you about his site, and now we have an exclusive interview with the man behind the art of damoncarltonandme.com! Now check out my interview with Justin where he discusses the show and then talks about the work he’s done and what he’s working on next!
First of all, introduce yourself!
Hi, my name’s Justin Sena and I’m a Lost-aholic. I’m also a 29 year old graphic designer. I work at a design firm in Long Beach, CA. I design mostly toy and dvd packaging there. Some of they brands that I’ve designed for include Gundam, Ghost in the Shell, Yu-Gi-Oh, Kamen Rider, etc., and some packaging concepts and stuff for a couple big movies that I can’t talk about yet. I also love drawing and it’s a bit of a relaxing escape from being on the computer all the time.
Now, let’s talk about LOST! How did you get into the show? Did it click right away, and if not what was it that made that click happen?
I actually missed the 1st season while it was airing because there was another show that I watched that came on at the same time. I kept hearing how crazy/cool it was from my friends. So when the 1st season DVDs came out, I bought them in order to catch up in time for the second season. I put the first DVD in and after that, I don’t think I left my couch for the next 3 days with the exception of a few hours of sleep. I was so hooked - it was like mental crack and I was addicted.

Fuckyeahlost.com interviews Paul from lostroom23!
Here’s FYL’s second interview! This time I talked to Paul of lostroom23.blogspot.com; he is also responsible for the trading cards that we posted about a few days ago!
Before we get to the interview, I’d like to announce that in celebration of passing 5,000 followers on Tumblr(!) we will be interviewing one follower each week for the remainder of the season! We will be holding a contest on Twitter to see who the lucky interviewees will be; the full details of the contest will be posted on Friday!
And now, check out my interview with Paul and then check out his site!
First of all, introduce yourself! Who are you, what do you do, and where can we find you on the interweb?
My name is Paul Burrows, currently the main blogger on Room 23. http://lostroom23.blogspot.com/ I studied art at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. When I got out of school jobs were very scarce so I became a stay at home Father of two boys while my wife worked as a Children’s Librarian and did freelance jobs on the side along with my own projects.
Now, let’s talk about LOST! How did you get into the show? Did it click right away, and if not what was it that made that click happen?
I was actually a fan of Smallville when Lost came out and when I saw the ads for Lost I thought that looked awesome, but it was at the same time as Smallville and I didn’t want to add another show to that and Star Trek Enterprise. LOL But that summer ABC started showing reruns of the first season so between that and watching episodes that ABC skipped through rentals I got totally hooked. I was totally excited when Season 2 rolled around and I actually really liked it regardless of what others thought.
Later I became part of a group on Ain’t It Cool near the end of season 3 that kept the finale talkback going all through the 8 month break. During that time we were sharing spoilers and Lost news and I decided to start a blog for that and invited others to become part of it. Well eventually they all dropped out and it became just me running things and totally my baby. I’m also currently part of a Lost message board called Lost 4 Life. It’s been a long process, but an awesome one. After Lost is over I plan on keeping Room 23 open and reporting on the different actors from time to time. I also recently created a FlashForward blog called “The Mosaic Collective” http://mosaiccollective.blogspot.com/ so that will keep me busy.
What inspired you to start creating art based on the show?
I was taking an animation/character design class from Stephen Silver (Main designer of Kim Possible/Danny Phantom). That was when season two was in full swing and I was hooked on Lost. For one of the projects we had to design three characters that had totally different body types, so I choose Hurley, Charlie and Eko (which I actually think are my most successful). After that I would design other characters every once in awhile putting them in my art portfolio along with other stuff. http://paulburrows.blogspot.com/ I would sell these in local comicbook stores in Southern California along with sending them out to Animation studios for jobs.

Fuckyeahlost.com interviews Jacob from lostblog.com!
As a new feature here on FYL, we’re going to be interviewing some interesting people about LOST! First up is Jacob from lostblog.com. Click ‘read more’ to read the rest of the interview, and then go check out Jacob’s great site!
First of all, let’s hear all about you and all about your site and give us all the relevant links that we should know!
My name is Alexander Ripps (aka Jacob) and I am the proud owner of LOSTblog.com. (Twitter.com/TheLostBlog)
How did you get into the show? Did it click right away, and if not what was it that made that click happen?
I did not watch the show until the summer of 2006. I was aware of the show; I knew it had something to do with a plane crash. I was working at an internet development firm for the Summer before leaving for law school in the Fall. A girl I worked with had the season 1 dvd with her one day. We talked briefly about the show, specifically that I had never seen it. She insisted I take the dvds home with me for the weekend….and the world was never the same! I was immediately hooked by the fantastic production, great writing, acting, music and story. I know quality when I see it, and this show just had everything. It was hard to believe it actually came from a broadcast network.
What do you think was the most shocking moment?
It has to be the flash forward in the season 3 finale. That was such a defining point of the show. It took everything we had learned for 3 seasons and suddenly changed the game.
