The Bubblegum Gang’s Guide To Picking Up - Lost

A.K.A. ‘The Libby’ or ‘The Saw You In Another Life, Brotha”.

The Inspiration: In a flash-sideways from the episode ”Everybody Loves Hugo”, Hurley is set up on a blind date by his mother. Whilst waiting for his date, Libby comes and sits down at his table and tells him that the two already know each other.
The Scenario: You are out at a bar or restaurant and you spot someone who you want to talk to.
The Execution: Go up and talk to the person when they’re alone. Act emotional, grab their hands (if it feels right) and ask them if they believe two people can be connected, like soul mates. Chances are they’ll respond positively, so follow it up with ”You don’t remember me, do you?” Most likely you won’t have your caretaker interrupt and take you back to the mental institution where you came from, so tell them you feel like you know them from another life and that you feel connected to them somehow. You can even improvise a backstory, but nothing crazy like being stuck on an island with them.
Tips: Knowing the name of the person before you make the approach will dramatically increase this moves effectiveness. Do a little reconnaissance before making the approach and find out as much as you can about them.

Give it a shot and get back to me with the results.
