Follow up on yesterday’s Miley Cyrus post:
The logo is actually that of the Metro in Chicago and they are LOST fans. Looks like Miley was filming the movie there. They sell this Metro Dharma Hoodie on their site. They replied to me on Twitter and said “our staff were LOSTcrazy- Ergo “Metro Station” merch. What if @mileycyrus finds the Island below Metro?”
Metro staff, you are wonderful people.

FYL reader Stratton sent me an email the other day to point out what appears to be Dharma symbol in an unlikely place: the trailer of the upcoming Miley Cyrus/Demi Moore film LOL.
Update: It’s the logo of the Metro (a venue) in Chicago, so they were probably filming this there. The Metro sells a hoodie with the same logo called the Metro Dharma Hoodie.
I guess Miley (Lola) likes this dude and goes to see him perform at a club and then bam, there it is behind him.
You can watch the trailer here.
My favorite part of the trailer, and probably a good example of what a great film this will be:“Until you turn 18, there’s a few things that I won’t tolerate!”“Really, like what?”“Like messing up your life!”

Last night I watched Sunday’s episode of The Simpsons where they take on LOST and like Damon, I liked it. Here’s what happened and some screenshots and quotes for those who haven’t seen it… (above: a page from Homer’s notebook where he takes notes on the show, including “latest theory: they are all actors acting out a show and I am a guy at home watching it”)
The plot: Homer buys the Butt-Whisperer 9000, a treadmill that has an internet-connected HD TV attached to it, so he begins to watch Stranded while sitting in a chair he places on the machine, instead of actually using it to exercise.Lisa, on Stranded: It “was a show about people marooned on a mysterious island that’s riddled with religious and scientific paradoxes. It was huge! Well, the first season and the last season.”Homer’s reply: “Well, islands are always entertaining, from Gilligan to Iwo Jima.”“Wait a minute, that flashback raised more questions than it answered!”Jack: “Oh my god, inside the coconut, my pet cat from when I was little. And on his nametag is the number of our flight!”Homer: ” What a great opening episode! And I’m sure everything they said will pay off handsomely!”
Homer: “At last! This episode finally promises to answer one question!”
Someone on Reddit translated this and it says “Watch Futurama Thursdays at 10.”

This morning, DC Comics laid out plans for an ambitious digital-first comics schedule in the coming months. Joining the already announced Beyond Series (Batman, Justice League, Superman), Arkham Unhinged and Smallville: Season 11 will be two new series: Ame-Comi Girls and an as-yet-untitled Batman series. Ame-Comi Girls is based off of DC’s line of products of manga versions of their female characters, specifically Wonder Woman, written by Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, two of the busiest men in comics. The Batman title will feature out of continuity tales, featuring tales by writers Joshua Hale Fialkov, Ben Templesmith, Steve Niles, B. Clay Moore, and Nicola Scott. One highlighted creative team is Lost co-creator Damon Lindelof and drawn by Multiversity favorite Jeff Lemire.
Once the Batman book launches in June (following Ame-Comi Girls in May), DC will be releasing a digital-first book each week day, with Ame-Comi Girls on Mondays, Arkham Unhinged on Tuesdays, the Beyond series on Wednesdays, the Batman book on Thursday, and Smallville: Season 11 on Fridays. This represents a large commitment to the digital-first platform, and DC is clearly hoping that the $.99 price tag and the line of comics which are less-continuity heavy and feature versions of characters that are tailored to non-mainstream comics readers. It remains to be seen if fans of the Smallville and Batman Beyond television series would be interested in buying spin-off comics, or if the manga audience could potentially be a crossover market.
